'Whitsand Bay' is situated between Looe and Plymouth in the seaside village of Downderry. This stunning part of Cornwall is very beautiful.
The TV series Beyond Paradise was filmed in this lovely part of Cornwall around Looe.

Downderry (above) is six miles from Looe on the south coast of Cornwall, with cafe, restaurant and a pub and beach (below).
Downderry beach is a ten minute walk away from apartment.

The flat has it's own decked terrace and a lovely view, perfect for morning coffee or relaxing after a day out.

If you are into walking or cycling there are some great places to discover around here.
Drive to Cremyl and take the foot ferry - 'Edgcumbe Belle' from Cremyl to Royal William Yard at Plymouth for a coffee or meal.
The Royal William Yard, now one of Plymouth's major tourist attractions.
Open during the day into the evening.
Jacka Bakery in Plymouth (the oldest working bakery in the country) is a must for the best coffee, cakes and bread.
Kingsand and Cawsand are quiet villages on the sea, relatively un-spoilt by tourism.

Tregonhawke beach at Whitsand Bay - We named the apartment after it. This three mile stretch of sand is only visible as the tide goes out and accessible down steep steps or a long path.
Despite the possibility of getting cut-off as the tide comes or dangerous rip currents it is regarded by many to be the finest beach in east Cornwall.
